Two adults and a teenager have been charged after a shooting Thursday afternoon on a Halifax street.

Police were called to the area of Buddy Daye and Gottingen streets — not far from the city's downtown — around 3:30 p.m. AT after receiving reports of gunfire.

No one was injured. Police said the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived.

At 10 p.m. AT, three people were arrested at a home on Barrington Street. A firearm was also seized, Halifax Regional Police said Friday in a news release.

Police said a 20-year-old faces nine weapon-related charges, including pointing a firearm and discharging one with intent. They were scheduled to appear in provincial court Friday.

Two other people, 17 and 46, each face charges of possession and unsafe storage of a firearm.

The teen was expected to appear in youth court Friday, while the 46-year-old is due in court at a later date.
