Hit and run kills young woman near Sydney

Cape Breton Regional Police are investigating after a woman in her 20s died as the result of a hit and run near Sydney on Thursday evening.

Cape Breton Regional Police are investigating after a woman in her 20s was struck by a vehicle that left the scene Thursday evening.

The collision happened on Keltic Drive near the intersection of O'Neil's Lane in the Balls Creek area.

Police responded at approximately 7 p.m.

The victim was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police are investigating. They ask anyone with information about the vehicle involved to call 902-563-5151 or Crime Stoppers.
