1 dead after bus, car collide near Sharbot Lake

A Kitchener, Ont., man is dead and a second person was taken to hospital with injuries after a car collided with a coach bus on Saturday, according to provincial police.

Victim was 29-year-old man from Kitchener, Ont.

One person is dead and another was taken to hospital with injuries after a car collided with a coach bus near Sharbot Lake, Ont., according to provincial police.

Emergency crews were called to the collision on Highway 7 west of Silver Lake Provincial Park around 4 p.m. Saturday, OPP said in a news release Sunday morning. 

The driver of the car, a 29-year-old man from Kitchener, Ont., died in the crash, police wrote. 

The coach bus was carrying over 30 passengers, OPP said, but only the driver was hurt in the crash. They suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital. 

Police are still investigating and have asked anyone with information or video footage of the collision to contact Frontenac OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
