36-year-old woman charged with 2nd-degree murder after vehicular homicide in Regina

Alexandra Crowe has been charged with second-degree murder and failing to comply with a probation order.

Police have not released the 38-year-old victim's identity

A 36-year-old woman has been charged with second-degree murder after a vehicular homicide in Regina.

The Regina Police Service says that at 1:15 p.m. CST on Tuesday, officers responded to the 2200 block of Lindsay Street — an area that includes the Al Ritchie Arena and the Prince of Wales Branch of the Regina Public Library — after reports that a man was injured after being hit by a vehicle.

Police have confirmed a 38-year-old man was riding a bicycle when he was hit. 

Police and EMS arrived on scene and attempted live-saving measures on the man, but were unsuccessful.

The man was declared dead at the scene.

Police have not yet released the man's identity.

Alexandra Crowe, 38, has been charged with second-degree murder and failing to comply with a probation order.

She made her first appearance in Regina provincial court this morning.

This is the sixth homicide reported in Regina so far this year.
