Two more people have been charged with first-degree murder in relation to the death of 35-year-old Aron Lunan, whose body was found in Grand Coulee, Sask. approximately 16 kilometres west of Regina.

The charges are connected to an investigation that began on June 10, 2025. That's when RCMP were called to a rural area near Grand Coulee, Sask., west of Regina, for reports of a dead person.

RCMP deemed the death a homicide and identified the deceased as Lunan. Further investigation determined the case "originated" in Regina.

The Regina Police Service took over the investigation, which led to the arrest of 24-year-old Britain Volk, who was charged with first-degree murder earlier this week.

On Thursday, two more people were arrested in relation to Lunan's death.

Patrick Akapew, 30, and Tyler Wayne Edwards, 38, were both charged with first-degree murder. Both made their first appearance on these charges in Regina provincial court on Friday morning.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have been in contact with Lunan between the afternoon of Monday, June 9, and the morning of Tuesday, June 10, to reach out to Regina police or Crime Stoppers.
