Man dead after truck hits motorcycle in Etobicoke, police say

A man in his 50s has died in hospital after a waste disposal bin delivery truck hit a motorcycle in Etobicoke on Thursday, Toronto police say.

A man in his 50s has died in hospital after a waste disposal bin delivery truck hit a motorcycle in Etobicoke on Thursday, Toronto police say.

The collision happened on N. Queen Street near Atomic Avenue, near The East Mall. Police were called to the scene at about 3:15 p.m.

Police say the motorcyclist was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The truck driver remained at the scene.

N. Queen Street is closed between The East Mall and Shorncliffe Road as officers investigate. Motorists are told to expect delays in the area.
