Man, 34, suffers life-threatening injuries after hit and run in east end, Toronto police say
Toronto paramedics took pedestrian to hospital after he was struck by vehicle late Monday

A 34-year-old man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a hit and run in Toronto's east end late Monday, police say.
The collision happened near Queen Street E. and Jones Avenue, Toronto police said in a news release on Tuesday. Officers were called to the area at about 11:55 p.m.
Police said the man was crossing Queen Street E. on foot from the north to the south side, in the east crosswalk, when he was struck by a southbound light-coloured sedan. The vehicle had turned left to go eastbound on Queen Street E. when it hit the man.
The motorist then fled the scene, police said.
Toronto paramedics took the man to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police have not released a description of the suspect vehicle.
Local residents, businesses and drivers who may have relevant security or dashboard camera footage are urged to come forward to police.
