Man charged after allegedly stabbing woman getting off Mississauga bus: police
30-year-old charged with attempted murder after incident Saturday evening

A man has been charged after allegedly following a woman getting off a bus in Mississauga over the weekend and stabbing her, police say.
Peel Regional Police say the 30-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder in the "unprovoked" stabbing around 6:20 p.m. Saturday.
In a news release Tuesday, police said the woman had gotten off a bus near Eglinton Avenue W. and Hurontario Street, when she was stabbed
The woman suffered near-fatal injuries but is now in stable condition and recovering in hospital, police say.
The accused was arrested on Monday and is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police believe the victim and accused are not known to each other and the attack was random.
