Motorcyclist wanted in hit and run that left officer injured in Mississauga: Peel police
Police say the motorcyclist was performing 'wheelies and other dangerous manoeuvres'

Peel police say they are looking for a motorcyclist who seriously injured a police officer in a hit and run in Mississauga on Tuesday evening.
Police said in a news release Wednesday that officers attempted to stop an off-road motorcycle-style bike that was "performing wheelies and other dangerous manoeuvres" near Eglinton Avenue and Erin Mills Parkway around 3:20 p.m. Tuesday.
While trying to avoid police, the male motorcyclist made contact with a fully marked police cruiser and struck a uniformed officer who was trying to arrest him, police said.
The motorcyclist then fled the scene at a high rate of speed, police said.
Police say the officer was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the motorcyclist is a man between the ages of 15 and 20 who was wearing a black helmet, black sweater and black pants at the time of the collision.
The motorcycle is believed to be electric-powered and dark coloured, police say.
Officers are asking anyone with information to reach out to police.
