One man is recovering from second-degree burns to one arm after a garage fire in the Walkerville area of Windsor.

It happened Monday afternoon at a home on Moy Avenue near Hanna Street East — knocking down a hydro pole and wires, and spreading to other nearby structures.

Fire officials say it ended up causing around $100,000 in damage in the area.

A lithium battery failure is the suspected cause, according to Windsor Fire and Rescue Services.
