Highway 401 reopens in Lakeshore following 3-car crash, OPP say

Highway 401 in Tecumseh has now reopened, Ontario Provincial Police say, after a three-vehicle collision on the highway kept it closed for much of the day.

Highway 401 in Tecumseh has now reopened, Ontario Provincial Police say, after a three-vehicle collision on the highway kept it closed for much of the day.

Around 10:43 a.m. on Friday, emergency services including members of the Essex County OPP, Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services, Tecumseh Fire and Rescue Services, responded to the collision.

Police said one driver was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while another driver was seriously injured.

The third driver was not injured, police say.

Ornge Air Ambulance also attended the scene of the crash but was not used for transport.
