Highway 403 reopens westbound near Linc, police say

Highway 403 has reopened westbound near the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway after it was closed for several hours due to a collision between a sedan and a motorcycle, Ontario Provincial Police say.

Highway 403 has reopened westbound near the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway after it was closed for several hours due to a collision between a sedan and a motorcycle, Ontario Provincial Police say.

Police posted about the crash around 3 p.m., Monday and asked people to avoid the area, saying the road could be closed "for an extended period." 

They said one person was sent to a local hospital "in critical condition."

Around 6:45 p.m., police said the lanes had reopened. "We appreciated your patience and understanding during the investigation and clean-up efforts," OPP said on social media site X.
