5 people sent to hospital after multi-vehicle collision closes highway north of Guelph
5 people injured in head-on collision, 1 seriously OPP say

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a head-on collision that closed Wellington Road 86 near Ariss Tuesday night injuring five people, one of them seriously.
OPP closed the road between Eighth Line East and Sideroad 16 in Guelph-Eramosa Township around 11:00 p.m. It remained closed all night while police investigated.
Five people were transported to hospital including a 16-year-old passenger who had life-altering injuries. Police say the drivers and other passengers involved had serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the four people in one of the vehicles were from Palmerston. While the other victim was from Woolwich Township.
