Man charged with breaking into Inuvik home, sexual assault

The N.W.T. RCMP say they have charged a man with breaking into an Inuvik home and sexually assaulting a woman inside.

The N.W.T. RCMP say they have charged a man with breaking into an Inuvik home and sexually assaulting a woman inside.

In a news release Monday, police said they were called to a home at around 9 a.m. Friday morning, where they met with the woman.

RCMP say the woman was taken to the hospital to be treated for apparent injuries.

Miller Kasook, 31, has been charged with sexual assault causing bodily harm, break-and-enter and failing to comply with a probation order.

He remains in custody and is set to appear in court Wednesday.
