A 70-year-old man has died after the motorcycle he was driving went over an embankment in Aspotogan, N.S.

RCMP say officers received a report around 10:40 a.m. AT on Sunday that a man and a motorcycle had been spotted off Highway 329.

The driver, who was from Hubley, died at the scene.

Police say they believe the motorcycle left Highway 329 at a sharp turn and went over the embankment.

The highway was closed for several hours.
