Motorcyclist dead after 2-vehicle crash near Winchester

A motorcyclist has died from his injuries following a collision with a car near Winchester on Friday morning, Ontario Provincial Police said Monday.

UPDATE: OPP announced on June 11, 2025, that the 35-year-old driver of the car had been charged with dangerous driving causing death.


A motorcyclist has died from his injuries following a collision with a car near Winchester on Friday morning, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said Monday.

Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP said the collision happened shortly after 6 a.m. Friday on Bank Street near Cloverdale Road, northwest of Winchester. Both vehicles were northbound at the time of the crash.

The 31-year-old motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital before being airlifted to a regional trauma centre. He was pronounced dead in hospital shortly before 6 p.m., OPP said.

The driver of the car was uninjured. OPP continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
