Motorcyclist in critical condition after crash with SUV near E.C. Row in Windsor

A 28-year-old motorcycle rider is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a Sunday night crash involving an SUV near the E.C. Row Expressway.

Windsor police say it happened around 9:30 p.m., at the intersection of Dougall Avenue and the westbound on-ramp to the expressway.

"An initial investigation revealed that a motorcycle travelling southbound on Dougall Avenue collided with an SUV that was turning westbound onto the expressway on-ramp," police said in a statement.

The motorcyclist is said to be in critical condition, while the SUV's driver remained at the scene and co-operated with investigators, according to authorities.

Traffic in the area was impacted until mid-morning on Monday.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and are asking anyone who witnessed the collision — or has video footage of it — to contact them immediately.
