Pedestrian struck downtown on Ouellette Avenue, Windsor police say

Windsor police said part of a busy downtown street was closed as a result of a collision involving a pedestrian.

A busy downtown street was closed for roughly an hour Tuesday as a result of a collision involving a pedestrian, Windsor police said.

The Windsor Police Service said at around 2 p.m. that the northbound lanes of Ouellette Avenue were closed between Erie and Elliott streets. 

A white minivan at the scene could be seen with a cracked windshield and an ambulance left the scene. 

Police at around 3 p.m. announced that the road had reopened.
