One person dead after single-vehicle crash in Wheatley: OPP
62-year-old from Leamington dead after Friday collision

One person is dead after a weekend car crash in Wheatley, police say.
At around 7:45 p.m. on Friday, officers, paramedics, and firefighters responded to a single-vehicle collision on Erie Street South, the OPP said in a press release Saturday night.
"The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 62-year-old from Leamington, was transported to local hospital with life-threatening injuries," police said, adding that "the individual succumbed to their injuries" the next day.
Police said the street was closed between Hickson and Deer Run roads for roughly five hours.
Local OPP officers as well as the OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team are still investigating the crash, per the release, and ask anyone with information to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
