Kentville man, 19, killed in single-vehicle crash near Wolfville

RCMP are investigating a single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 19-year-old Kentville man early Saturday morning near Wolfville, N.S.

A police news release said emergency crews responded to Ridge Road in White Rock around 2:20 a.m. AT after a compact car left the road, struck a tree and caught fire.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The lone passenger, also a 19-year-old man from Kentville, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The road was closed for several hours after the crash.
