Windsor police fatally shoot dog during active investigation on Tecumseh Road W.

The Windsor Police Service says its officers are on the scene for an active investigation in the 2800 block of Tecumseh Road West, and officers have fatally shot a dog.

The Windsor Police Service says officers fatally shot a dog while on the scene of an active investigation in the 2800 block of Tecumseh Rd. W., Thursday afternoon. 

Police responded to a report of a person in crisis shortly after 2 p.m., according to a post on the Windsor Police Service Facebook page.

The officers shot the dog during an interaction with individuals on the scene, police said.

They say one person is now in police custody, and no further injuries have been reported.

They say they continue to investigate.
