Motorcyclist in critical condition after crash on Highway 174

A man is in hospital in critical condition after a motorcycle crash on Highway 174 westbound near Blair Road.

Emergency services responded to calls of a single-vehicle collision in the city's east end at around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Paramedics said the driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition, and that he is still in hospital as of Wednesday.

No one else was injured, police said.

Police said they are still investigating and are seeking witnesses to the crash, or anyone who may have dashcam footage.
