A motorcyclist has died after colliding with a light post in North York early Sunday, Toronto police said.
The incident happened around 12:15 a.m. near Gordon Mackay and Suntract roads, police said in a news release.
The motorcyclist, a 28-year-old man, was riding southbound on Suntract Road when he lost control, left the roadway and struck a light post, the news release said.
He was seriously injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The traffic services unit is investigating.
Police said they believe there were witnesses in the area who may have seen or recorded the collision.
